Zeus is an SGI Linux cluster that supports pre- and post-processing of data, large shared memory computations and remote visualization work. As part of the Pawsey Project portfolio, Zeus, together with other infrastructure in the Pawsey Centre, allows a diverse range of workflows to be undertaken.

Zeus is heterogeneous with 30 nodes in various configurations. The biggest node is Zythos, which is an SGI UV2000 system with 6TB shared memory, 264 Intel Xeon processor cores and 4 NVIDIA Kepler GPUs. Zeus’s other 29 nodes all contain two 8-core Intel Xeon E5-2670 CPUs and 27 of them also feature GPUs. In total there are 20 Nvidia Quadro K5000 GPUs and 7 Nvidia Tesla K20 GPUs.
