iVEC

iVEC Projects

iVEC is managing and implementing a number of significant projects to benefit researchers at the state and national levels:

  • The $80 million Pawsey Centre Project, a joint effort between the Federal and WA State Governments and iVEC partners to create a world class supercomputing facility.
  • The Research Data Storage Infrastructure (RDSI) Project is funded by the DIISRTE to provide Data Storage and Collaboration Infrastructure. In practical terms, this project will significantly increase the storage capacity for research data to enhance data sharing capabilities.
  • iVEC has also been funded by NeCTAR to build a computational research Cloud. iVEC Research Cloud Node will be complementary to existing iVEC infrastructure and will be part of an Australia-wide Cloud infrastructure service available to researchers.
